Dear Valued Patient,
Our highest priority at Herkert Family Eye Care is the safety of our patients, our dedicated team, and the people in our community.
Following the guidelines set forth by the Indiana Optometric Association and Governor Holcomb, we will be slowly integrating routine exams back into our schedule. Going forward, we will schedule patients in a way so that everyone is able to practice effective social distancing. We have established sanitizing protocols for our equipment, instruments and eyewear. Our staff will be wearing masks as necessary and recommend that if you are coming to spend time with us that you also wear a mask.
If you have symptoms that include a fever, a cough and shortness of breath, please stay home. As a reminder, the most important steps you can take to stay healthy and protect yourself and those around you are to wash or sanitize your hands often for at least 20 seconds each time; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth and coughing into a tissue or the crook of your elbow.
Thank you for trusting us to be your partner in health. We take this responsibility with the utmost seriousness. In these unprecedented times, please know we are here for you and remain deeply committed to ensuring safe, high-quality care for you and your family.
Be well and stay safe,
Dr. Dan Herkert
